PROJECTION 2
WEEK 5-6
Final Outcome: HOW MUCH MORE TIME?
In this book, cyanotype is not used for its visual appeal, but for its ability to physically record time, light, and emotional intensity. The method is slow, sensitive, and unpredictable-qualities that mirror the emotional experiences I was exploring.
HOW MUCH MORE TIME?
Material Details of the Book:
As I worked, a visual system started to form—linking emotions to the materials and design choices. The thread’s thickness and colour in the binding mirrored the look of cardiac veins. The cover and light paper (90– 100gsm) suggested the fragility of emotional skin, like the epicardium.
The book’s weight and the way the type was set echoed the heaviness of a human heart. It contains 84 pages—one for each average resting heartbeat per minute in a person living with depression. The shifting colours and changing text alignment reflected how emotions can build slowly or shift suddenly, moving from cyan to deep blue and black.
