FRAGMENTING AND DISTORTING
The process was about more than replicating nature digitally; it was about revealing the hidden patterns that connect us with our environment. This approach aims to shift perceptions, highlighting new ways humans can interact and connect with the nature and the objects around them.
I explored the relationship between humans, nature, and objects by using methods like fragmentation, weaving, distortion to create a more organic and expressive forms.
Distortion is a technique that resonates with the experience of emotional discomfort. The manipulation of shapes and forms to appear stretched, skewed, or fragmented can evoke the unsettling feeling of being pulled in multiple directions, a common experience in anxious states.
Showing the vulnerability of human beings to create a friction to show how there is a shared relationship of vulnerability and a shared resilience.
